The discipline “Professionally oriented foreign language” is included in the cycle of basic disciplines. The content of the discipline provides for the development of students' ability to communicate in a foreign language in specific professional, and business areas and situations, taking into account the characteristics of professional thinking while organizing motivational and indicative research activities.
Professionally oriented education is understood as training based on taking into account the needs of students in learning a foreign language, dictated by the characteristics of their future profession or specialty. The essence of professionally oriented teaching of a foreign language lies in its integration with special disciplines in order to obtain additional professional knowledge and the formation of professionally significant personality qualities, knowledge of the culture of the country of the language being studied and the acquisition of special skills based on professional and linguistic knowledge.
According to the international standard for proficiency in foreign languages CEFR, the level of knowledge of students must correspond to the level of basic standard (B2). Blended learning of a professionally oriented foreign language is carried out using digital and cloud technologies, the Univer database, the Microsoft Teams platform using MOOC content, Moodle, Coursera, Edmodo, Canvas, Google Suit tools, YouTube channel for the development of 4 types of speech activities in professional-oriented foreign language.
