For players who like to test their strategic thinking without having to deal with the intense difficulties of the 4-suit level, Spider Solitaire Free offers a "2-Suit" version of the game. The 104-card deck used in the game is divided into two suits, Hearts and Spades, each of which has four full sets. The final objective is to put together eight full sequences, each made up of cards from the same suit, in descending order from King to Ace. A sequence is taken out of the tableau and placed in the Foundation section after it is finished. Until all eight sequences are completed, players keep rearranging the remaining cards.

Ten tableau columns make up the playing field; the first four have six cards each, while the latter six have five cards each. Each spider solitaire free column's cards are all face-down except for the top card, which is face-up. The remaining 50 cards are stored in the stock pile to be drawn when needed, in addition to the 54 cards that are on the table. Because players must carefully evaluate every step instead than just randomly arranging cards, this mechanic encourages continued gameplay.
